Fine food served in an array of varied and contemporary environments. The town hall hotel houses two great restaurants by way of Typing Room and Corner Room.
Named after the building’s original Typing Room in which all communications from the mayoral, council and judicial system were put to ink. Lee Westcott uses the best of local and seasonal British ingredients to create innovative modern European dishes at Typing Room.
Corner Room serves dishes of exceptional quality at affordable prices. Located on the first floor of the Town Hall Hotel, the 30-cover, light-filled restaurant is ideal for both casual meals and drinks. Proving that more can be done with less, Chef Craig Johnson (formerly of Newington Table, Pavilion and Elliots) looks to showcase big flavours with British produce.
