We're thrilled to host London College of Fashion’s MA Fashion Photography project work this summer, opening on 27th June and running until mid-September.
Hung around the hotel’s main staircase and open to the public without ticket, this exhibition will showcase around thirty images: the project work of twenty-three students.
Why The Everyday & The Epic?
Photography and fashion are cultural mediators of both the banal and the profound, and undoubtedly shape our lives in ordinary and extraordinary ways. Fashion Photography presents us with spectacles from the vernacular through to the fantastic. Images of street style, subculture or social communities, juxtaposed against flights of fancy and propositions for better or different lives in another dimension, offer a wish fulfilment or a call for change: this exhibition is in response to this theme.
