Chef de Partie

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Town Hall Hotel & Apartments; we are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Chef de Partie to be a part of the kitchen team.

Set in the heart of London’s vibrant East End, previously awarded Top 100 Wedding Venues in the World by Brides Magazine; Town Hall Hotel provides a variety of conferences, weddings & social events throughout the year. Town Hall Hotel has long been a popular fixture on East London’s foodie scene and for a good reason. Located on the first floor of the Town Hall Hotel, the 30-cover Corner Room with Assembly Room is an informal haunt by day and intimate lounge room by night, the restaurant is a popular venue on the evolving culinary landscape in this corner of the capital. We are also re-launching our hotel bar, offering a friendly bar experience for restaurant and hotel guests, and our neighbours.

The ideal candidate will be energetic, enthusiastic, creative and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial approach, creative ideas are always welcome! The candidate will be able to demonstrate an extensive knowledge and passion for cooking practices.

Job Description:
  • Prepare menus in collaboration with colleagues
  • Do daily Mise en Place for a given section, storage of supplies and stock rotation of those supplies
  • Must be trained by Senior Chefs on each menu item thus improving the knowledge and the skill base
  • Be responsible for passing on this training to Commis Chefs, assigned to their section to help with preparation of the menu.
  • Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations
  • Prepare ingredients that should be frequently available (vegetables, spices etc.)
  • Put effort in optimizing the cooking process with attention to speed and quality
  • Enforce strict health and hygiene standards
  • Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation
  • Fulfil the standards set out in the Staff Handbook

Housekeeping Attendant


A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the Town Hall Hotel & Apartments; we are currently recruiting for a good team-work and dedicated Housekeeping Attendant to be a part of our Housekeeping team.

Set in the heart of London’s vibrant East End, previously awarded Top 100 Wedding Venues in the World by Brides Magazine; Town Hall Hotel provides a variety of conferences, weddings & social events throughout the year. At the Town Hall Hotel, every room has been individually designed. Many retain grand Edwardian period features, others have an up-in-the-eaves-loft-style chic - all are exceptionally spacious, feeling more like a pied-a-terre in the city than a traditional hotel room.

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for cleaning and checking their guest rooms and maintaining the respective corridors. Some of the key processes include but are not limited to:
  • Regular cleaning
  • Keeping all staff and communal areas clean and maintain the highest health & safety standards.
  • Ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our guests
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond to their requests in a timely manner
  • Comply with hotel lost property policies

Shift engineer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within Unlisted Collection; we are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Shift Engineer to join the Maintenance team at the Town Hall Hotel in London's vibrant East End.

We are currently looking for a Shift Engineer to join Town Hall Hotel team on full time basis.

Being part of the small team, you will demonstrate excellent knowledge and dedicated behaviour. The successful candidate will be experienced, highly professional, have excellent communication skills and whether it is a quick repair or a planned maintenance, as Shift Engineer you will help us to deliver an excellent experience to our guests.

The main responsibilities for this position are, but not limited to:

  • Overall maintenance of the building with the guidance of Maintenance Manager
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance activities in accordance with the company and departmental standards to all areas of the hotel. This will include guest bedrooms, public areas, and all main plant /machinery
  • Provide a fast, professional and reactive response to breakdown calls
  • Be conversant with all maintenance department policies and procedures
  • Provide a proactive service to guests and associates alike
  • The ideal candidate will be proficient in multi-trade disciplines, with electrical knowledge an advantage and at least basic plumbing, carpentry and decorating skills. Experience as a Shift Engineer in a hotel or similar setting will be an advantage.

The successful candidate will be professional, have excellent communication skills, be well presented and understand the importance of customer service.

The main responsibilities for the Head Bartender will be:

  • Responsible for the effective running of the Bar
  • Optimise guest satisfaction and exceed guests’ expectations through delivery of consistent high standards and being responsive to guest requests
  • Creating and constantly developing the cocktail menu at the Bar to unlock the potential of the business and create a destination in the local area.
  • Passionate about what you do and train the team on drinks knowledge
  • Take responsibility for stock control, including ordering, maintaining of par stock levels, stock rotation, and monthly stock counts
